molting

SPECIAL PROJECTS

molting is a photographic meditation on young adulthood and the slow, often uncomfortable metamorphosis of identity. The project inhabits the purgatory between who we were and who we are becoming — where certainty erodes, selfhood fragments, and transformation resists clean resolution. Through intimate portraiture stages in liminal, desolate, and urban environments, the work explores themes of evolution, belonging, sexuality, and inner solitude. A central focus on girlhood and womanhood traces how identity evolves under expectation and is reclaimed through quiet defiance, tenderness, and reinvention. molting resists the demand for completion, instead inviting viewers to sit with discomfort — and ultimately to revel in the process of becoming.
