Am I Soft Enough?
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Am I Soft Enough? sits in the unsettled space where girlhood no longer fits and womanhood has not yet settled. These images trace a moment when the body begins to feel different — not because it has changed, but because it has started to be seen, questioned, and inhabited in new ways.
Am I Soft Enough? is not a measure of beauty or desirability. It names a quieter, more destabilizing thought: what happens when the identity you build as a girl collides with the expectations attached to being a woman? Softness here is not compliance. Softness is permeability, sensation, and the uneasy awareness of becoming legible to the world while still trying to belong to yourself. The images resist spectacle. They linger in pauses — between confidence and uncertainty, exposure and control — where femininity is both performed but felt.
